Firm Membership - Applicant must be duly licensed and own or operate a funeral establishment.  Where more than one member establishment is operated by the same ownership, dues shall be determined by total adult casket sales.  Currently on-line registration is not available for firm memberships.

If you have more than one funeral home, please complete a separate membership application on each funeral home and indicate volume of adult casket sales on the front side of each application.  Firm dues must be calculated based upon adult casket sales.  Please check below for a link to a printable copy of the membership application.

Individual members, associates, and commercial embalmers may now join on-line with a credit card.  If you would prefer to register by mail, you may download a membership application, and mail it in with a check or credit card information.  Your application will be processed promptly.  Firms must continue to join using the membership application. Click here to have a printable copy of the membership application.

Individual Membership - any licensed funeral director and /or embalmer employed by a member firm who does not qualify for an establishment membership is eligible for membership in this category.  Any licensed funeral director and/or embalmer not employed by a licensed funeral establishment also is eligible for membership in this category.  Example of individual category:  If you are the FDIC, Owner or Manager you cannot join as an individual.  Your funeral home has to join as a firm member.  If you are a funeral director, but not the FDIC, Owner or Manager of a non member firm, you can join as an individual.  If you are a funeral director of a member firm, you can join as an individual.

Associate Membership - Suppliers, cemetery owners, registered apprentices and surviving spouses or dependents who are not actively employed by an establishment member.

Mortuary Student
     Mortuary students are members of TFDA through the schools.  The schools collect the information on each student and send to TFDA to maintain our database.  Magazines are sent to the student members through the schools.  If you are a mortuary student through the on-line schools and do not receive a copy of the magazine, you may register here so that we are able to keep our data base up to date.
